Cathee Jean Melton

Cathee Jean Melton, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 73. A lifelong resident of McNairy County, Cathee was born on July 9, 1953, to the late "Ranny" Harold Randolph Melton and Peggy Jean Howell Melton.

Cathee found simple joy and fulfillment in the quiet pleasures of life. She had a passion for gardening and tended to her plants with the same care and tenderness she showed to those around her. An avid reader, she could often be found lost in a good book. Above all, her heart belonged to her family, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cathee was preceded in death by her parents, Ranny and Peggy Melton; her brothers, Harold Wayne Melton and David Glen Melton; and her brother-in-law, Jackie Knighton.

Her warmth and loving legacy live on through her family. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Baldwin and partner Rachel Clark of Middleton, TN; her brother, Richard Carl Melton and wife Eva of Ramer, TN; her sisters, Linda Gayle Knighton of Corinth, MS, and Mary Anita Ingham and husband Bruce of Ramer, TN; her three cherished grandchildren, Lauren Baldwin, Nick Johnson, and Madeline Clark; and her three great-grandchildren, Samuel Johnson, Aubrey Kate Johnson, and Hayden Johnson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends in the Ramer community.
