Mrs. Chancey departed this life Monday morning, June 3, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
The widow of Benjamin Hayes Chancey, who died on August 5, 1975, she was a homemaker. She was born October 14, 1926 in Benton County, Mississippi to the late James Russell Hensley and Glennie Mae Wilson Hensley and had lived here since 1971. She was raised in the Grand Junction Baptist Church and was Baptist in belief.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Pearl Wilkerson of Doniphan, MO; a son, Bobbie Earl Caviness of Lecoma, MO; a sister, Frances Gowan of Grand Junction; two brothers, Harold Hensley and Lester Wynn, both of Grand Junction; a stepsister, JoAnn Morris of Southaven, MS; 8 grandchildren, Teresa Powell, John, Jeffery, Shawn and Christopher Wilkerson, Joel Davis, Anthony Caviness and Susan Crane; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Wynn and a special friend, Woodrow Snow.
