Cecil Allen Dixon

It is with solemn hearts that we announce the passing of Cecil Allen Dixon, who was born on February 19, 1946, in Waynesboro, TN. He peacefully departed this life on March 11, 2024, at the age of 78 years old, in the comfort of his home in Waynesboro surrounded by his loving family.

Cecil Allen Dixon was a true son of Wayne County and a devoted member of the Southern Baptist Faith. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his work as a Mechanic and found joy in passions such as NASCAR, riding four wheelers, and caring for his garden. He was also an esteemed member of the Overhill Gang.

He is now reunited in peace with his Wife, Clara Mae Dixon; Parents, Raymond and Mary Dixon; Son, Marty Dixon; as well as his Brothers, Buick Dixon, Clovis Dixon, James Lloyd Dixon, Bill Dixon, and Lewis Dixon.

Cecil was a man who cherished relationships and valued memories deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by his Daughter, Connie Glover; Adopted Daughter, Sherry Curtis; Sisters, ClaraBell Adams and Mary Mcintear; Grandchildren, Brittany Glover, Lonnie Dixon, Lanna Hall, Haley Curtis; and Great Grandchildren Fallon Donaldson, Breanna Donaldson, Jayden Staggs, Carter Dixon, Harley Dryer, Alannah Hall, and Karsynn Hall.

Visitation to honor Mr. Cecil Allen Dixon's memory will take place at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro on Wednesday March 13, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro on Thursday March 14th at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Greg Eaton leading the service.

May Cecil find eternal rest as he is laid to rest at Shields Cemetery.
