Cecil Joe "CJ" Sharp

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 6, 1963, the son of the late Raymond Steve Sharp and Shirley Sue Newman Hazel.

Cecil worked on a tow boat for Ingram Barge Company and worked as a security guard before going to work for Ingram. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. In his spare time, Cecil enjoyed watching sports and was an avid football fan.

He departed this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 62 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

Cecil is survived by three sisters, Jan Rickman (Timothy) of Guys, Tennessee, Frances Smith (Ronald) of Fletcher, Oklahoma, and Donna James of Jackson, Tennessee; one half brother, George Hazel of Savannah, Tennessee; two half sisters, Wanda Bascum and Louise Hazel, both of North Dakota; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Sharp and Bobby Ray Sharp.
