Cecile Warren

Mrs. Cecile Warren, age 88 of Medon, passed away on July 21, 2026. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23 at Shackelford’s in Bolivar from 6:00pm – 9:00pm, and on Friday, July 24 at Shandy Baptist Church from 12pm – 2pm with funeral services to follow at 2pm. Burial will be at the Shandy Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Warren worked as a switchboard operator with the Western Mental Health Institution for 38 years. She loved to attend church at Shandy Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years. She loved the time she spent at both work and church, but she cherished the time she spent with her family most of all.

Mrs. Warren is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bernard (Tommy Vandiver) of Toone; sons, Chris Warren (Debbie) of Henderson, and Jerry Maybury (Sherry) of Beech Bluff; eleven grandchildren, Micheal, Renee, Michelle, T.J. Maybury, David Galigher, Sid Vandiver, Joey Bernard, Wesley Warren, Jess Condor, Erica Galigher, Cory Vandiver; and numerous great and great, great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Pete” Warren; son, Terry Maybury; daughter, Kelly Galigher; grandchild, James Maybury; and brothers, Tom Small and Dwight Small.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Shandy Baptist Church.
