Charlene Hodge, age 74, of Bolivar, passed away Saturday evening, December 31, 2016 at her home in Bolivar.
A native of Hardeman County, she worked as a supervisor of general services at Western Mental Health Institute. She was born August 13, 1942, daughter of the late William Samuel and Bessie Hodge and lived all of her life here. She was an excellent caregiver and enjoyed taking care of others. She was a member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include a grandson, Robert Tyler Haynes of Bolivar and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Bray; a grandson, Jason Flatt; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The family requests memorial donations in her name be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate)
