Charles Lee Burns

Charles Lee Burns of Collinwood, TN was born January 18, 1937 in Wayne Co., TN, the son of the late Willie Clyde and Nona Fraley Burns. He was united in marriage to Ruby Joyce Gilchrist on March 27, 1964 and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2004. Mr. Burns was a retired supervisor from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Burns departed this life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at ECM Hospital, Florence, Alabama at the age of 76 Years, 8 Months, 10 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Arnett and husband, Jeff of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Jaret Arnett, Brittany Hensley Daniel; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Burns was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Jr. and Marvin D. Burns; sisters, Virginia and Helen Burns. Services will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Marty Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Kodi Arnett, Darin Arnett, Tony Arnett, Terry Joe Hollis, Gary McWilliams, and Tim Wallace. Visitation will be Monday, September 30, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm and Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
