Charles Grayson Dixon

Mr. Charles Grayson Dixon departed this life on Thurday, October 26, 2017 at NHC Nurshing Home in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days. He was born May 19, 1934 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Grayson and Mary Pauline "Dolly" McCrory Dixon.

He was united in marriage to Peggy Kay Dixon on June 16, 1955.

Mr. Dixon was an Insurance and Jewerly Store Owner. He was a member of the Shawneetee Methodist Church, sang with the Singing Kinsmen and followed the Rocky Top Ramblers.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Kay Dixon, son, Gregory Charles Dixon, daughter, Sheron Dixon Arrington, grandchildren, Elizabeth Daniel, husband Matthew, Gabrielle Arrington and Analise Arrington, brothers, Teddy Earl Dixon, wife, Sue, Roger Dale Dixon, wife, Anita, and Keith Dixon, wife, Bonnie all of Collinwood, TN, sister, Davalene Smith, husband, Teddy, Lawrenceburg, TN and special friend Toby Reed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Kay Dixon and sister, Neva Calton.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Shawnettee Methodist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jason Love, Tim Ferguson and John Ives officiating. Burial will follow in Shawnettee Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood and Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 12:30 pm until service time at Shawnettee Methodist Church, Collinwood.
