Charles Emory (Honey) Hunt was born March 14, 1933 in Waterloo, Alabama the son of the late Charlie Rebel and Bessie Mayflower Highland Hunt.He was united in marriage to Mackie Louetta Briley on August 15, 1959. Mrs. Hunt preceded him in death on February 21, 2010.Mr. Hunt grew up in the Walker Town community of Hardin County. He owned and operated Ever Ready Auto Parts in Savannah for 24 years. He was the receiving manager for Wal-Mart for almost 34 years. He loved camping, fishing, restoring cars and trucks, and collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.He enjoyed life and loved his two kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he was known to his grandchildren as "Honey." He loved all children and opened his home for 17 years to care for foster children. Mr. Hunt departed this life on June 7, 2011 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 78 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Lorie (Hunt) Jackson James and husband Lynn; a brother, James Wyley Hunt of Savannah, TN; three grandchildren, Lana (Lumpkin) Skelton and husband Benson, Danalee Van Ashton Jackson, Colton Todd Lumpkin; six great grandchildren, Emoree Brooke, Ayden Wesley and Benjamin O'Brian Skelton, Jaxton Beau, Landon, and Tristan Ian Lumpkin.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by a son, Charles Van Hunt on November 18, 2001.
