Charles Wayne McMahan

Charles Wayne McMahan was born August 9, 1941 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Otis Woodrow and Myrtle Kirk McMahan.
Mr. McMahan served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He worked for Coors Brewery in Memphis for over 30 years. He enjoyed living on his farm in McNairy County, taking care of his cattle, horses and his dogs. He liked working in his yard and his flowers. He also worked part-time at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer sitting visitations.
He loved his family especially his nieces and nephews.
Mr. McMahan departed this life on August 7, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 11 Months, 29 Days. He is survived by a sister, Bonnie Ashe and husband Jerry of Adamsville, TN; a dear cousin who was like a sister, Jane Stephen and husband Bob of St. Charles, MO; an aunt, Opal Taylor of Selmer, TN; niece, Beverly Hollin of Adamsville, TN; nephew, Jeremy Ashe and wife Sherry of Adamsville, TN; great nephew, Tyler Hollin; two great nieces, Madison Hollin and Lily Ashe; and a host of friends.
There will be private family services at a later date.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, McNairy County Relay for Life, or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
