Charles Ray Jones, 68, of Savannah, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The son of the late Elmer Lee Jones and Naomi Louise Pevehouse.
He was united in marriage to Frances Lynn Stowell Webb on September 16, 2023.
Charles served in the Army National Guard, worked at the Brown Shoe
Company in Savannah, and was a carpenter and painter for twenty plus years.
His favorite things in life were making others laugh, spending time with family and friends, fishing and 4-wheeler riding, working with his hands, and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Scott Liford; stepchildren, Rena and Nick Spitzley, Quincy Jr. and Aleshia Webb, Jonathan and Bethany Webb, and Hannah and Kevin Baxter; 13 grandchildren and one great grandson, Ashley and Dustin Mitchell, Savanna and David Vallejo, Gracie, Hazel, Viola, and Oliver Spitzley, Jeramiah, Tysen, Mira, Sarah, Alyssa, John, and Charles Webb; and Phoenix Mitchell; four sisters, Jo Ann Franks, Oma Jean Farr, Deborah and Roger Evans, and Teresa Branum; and multiple nieces and nephews and extended loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry Lynn Webb McCain Jones.
Services will be held on May 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at The Carpenter's Shop in Savannah, Tennessee, with Keith Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah, Tennessee
Pallbearers: Scott Liford, Ronnie Franks, Randy Franks, Nick Spitzley, Kevin Baxter, and Jonathan Webb.
