CHARLIE DURHAM
Henderson, TN: Charlie Roy Durham, Sr. age 80 passed away May 12, 2017 at Hardin Medical Center.
He was born September 17, 1936 in Blakely, GA., (Early County), the son of the late Roy and Willie Ruth Pate Durham. He went to school in Early County. He farmed most of his younger life. He went into long haul trucking, moving cars for over thirty-three years. They moved to Henderson in 2002, to the Plainview Community of Chester County. Mr. Durham retired in 2013. He loved playing solitaire and watching T.V. (westerns). He was a member of the Finger Church of Christ.
Mr. Durham is survived by his wife, Frances Strawn Durham of Henderson; two sons, Charlie ‘Chuck’ Roy Durham, Jr. of Indiana and Alan Durham of Henderson; two grandchildren, Noelle Durham and Hunter Durham; three great grandchildren, Elissa, Phoenix and Elias Durham; four brothers, Leonard, John Thomas, Roy Junior ‘R.J.’ and Danny Ray Durham and four sisters, Jane, Nell, Martha Jean and Joyce Ann.
Graveside services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Henderson City Cemetery.
