IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlie Thomas
Garrity
January 9, 2026 – February 6, 2026
Baby Charlie Thomas Garrity went to be with the Lord, on February 6, 2026.
Charlie showed us his personality. Charlie’s favorite toy was "BLUE," a little crocheted octopus that he loved to hold. He was happiest when he was close to his mom, especially during kangaroo care—those moments of skin-to-skin cuddles meant the world to him and to us. He loved drinking his mom’s milk, and he had such a strong little grip when he held daddy’s hand.
He found comfort listening to Grandpa and Grandma pray with him and loved when we read him Bible stories. Charlie experienced so much in a month—he saw snow, rain, and even sleet and freezing rain. He laughed, cried, yawned, and played. He made friends and connected with everyone who loved him. His eyes spoke volumes, sometimes saying more than words ever could.
Most of all, Charlie knew Jesus. In his last moments, holding momma and daddy’s hands, We could see the fear leave his face as we told him about the arms of Jesus. Charlie’s relationship with Jesus was real, and that he understood so much more than we can explain. Please don’t doubt that, just because he was a baby. Charlie was a person, with a soul and a personality, and he was so deeply loved. We wish we could have had even more time with him here.
Charlie leaves to treasure his memory his parents Hunter and Rachel Leach Garrity of Pinson, paternal grandparents Michael Miller (Pamela) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jennifer Garrity of Jackson; maternal grandparents Thomas and Cindy Leach of Pinson; paternal great grandmother Sue Miller of Deerfield Beach, FL; and an aunt Brianna Williford (Josh) of Hoover, AL.
He was preceded in death by an uncle Ricky Miller.
The family will have a private funeral and burial.
