Mrs. Luttrell passed away Tuesday afternoon at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
The widow of Billy Luttrell, who died September 26, 2003, she was a beautician for over 40 years and worked in the Middleton Elementary School cafeteria where she was affectionately referred to as “Grandma Chatterâ€. She was born July 5, 1935 in Hardeman County to the late Neal and Tennie Lois Donaldson Stanley and lived all of her life here. She was a fun-loving, outgoing person, loved being in the Red Hat Society and enjoyed being a part of the Memphis Birthday Club. She was a member of the Middleton Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Luttrell Barton of Myrtle Beach, SC and Lori Barkley and her husband, Glen of Oxford, MS; a sister, Jolean Nelms of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Brittany Lea Hicks and her husband, Drew of Calhoun City, MS, Hannah and Katie Jo Barkley of Oxford, MS; Audra and Michelle Barton, both of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters-in-law, Marie Dukes of Bartlett and Robbie Luttrell of Meridian, MS; and expecting one great grandchild in March, Avery Lea Hicks. In addition to her husband, whom she married January 25, 1962 and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Penny, Dock and Nick Stanley; and a sister, Jewel Stanley McKee.
