Chesley Thomas Lawson

Chesley Thomas Lawson, Iron City, TN was born September 28, 1991 in Florence, Alabama, the son of Krystal Moore Cummings and the late Cecil (Horse) Lawson. Chesley was a packer at Support Packaging and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iron City, Tennessee.



Chesley departed this life on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at his home near Iron City, Tennessee at the age of 18 Years, 7 Months, 9 Days.



Survivors, his mother and step-father, Krystal Cummings and Phillip Kelley; his former step-father, Eddie Cummings; brothers, Casey, Catlin, and Chase Cummings and Clint Lawson all of Iron City, TN; grandmother, Ann Barkley, Cypress Inn, TN; grandfather, Jimmy Moore, Loretto, TN; step-grandmother, Nadine Kelley, Iron City, TN; aunts, uncles, cousins.



In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandfather, Jimmy Barkley and great-grandmother, Oneida Moore.



Services will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Anthony Potts officiating. Burial will follow in Hollis Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Andrew Robertson, Ryan Risner, Cody Adams, Nick Moore, Jason Turner, Phillip Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Dustin Gallaher. Visitation will be Monday, May 10, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
