CHRIS ALEXANDER SHERER
was born on September 30, 1945 in Manheim, Germany to Gunter Hofmann and Elfriede Hofmann Geborene Jekel. On October 14, 1962 she was united in marriage to Roy Alexander who preceded her in death on November 13, 2006. She was united in marriage to Hollis Sherer on April 9, 1999, who preceded her in death on August 22, 2008. She lived in Florence, Alabama in the Central Community for 25 years and in Hardin County for 1 1/2 years.
Chris attended Mt. View Church of Christ in Hardin County and Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee. Chris was a certified preschool teacher and worked at Northwest Alabama Preschool, and she was also a homemaker. She loved to cook, work in her yard and enjoyed cleaning.
Chris departed this life on April 16, 2013 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 17 days.
She is survived by her son, Ken Alexander and his wife Marty from Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Christian Alexander Stricklin and Kendra Alexander; and one great-grandchild, Macey Stricklin; and a brother, Gerd Hofmann of Mannheim, Deutschland.
