Beulah Christine (Scott) Holley, 95, of Henderson, died Monday, Aug. 12, at the Chester County Nursing Home.

She was born in Chester County on March 30, 1918, the seventh of nine children of William Lee Andrew Jackson (W.A.) Scott and Betty Octavia Williams Scott. In 1935 she married Gifford McCoy Davidson, and they and their daughter, Patsy (Pat), made their home in Chester County until 1945, when they moved to Oakland, Calif. Gifford died the following year in Oakland.
Christine married Roy Harrison in 1947. They adopted a son, James (Jimmy), after moving to Atlanta. Roy died there in 1959. While Christine lived in Atlanta, she worked for the Kmart Corporation and subsequently retired from there.
In 1978 she married Charles Smith in Atlanta, and they moved to Henderson shortly thereafter. Charles died in 1987.
Christine married Earl Holley in 1989 in Henderson, and he died in 1997.
Christine was a member of Henderson Church of Christ. She was a godly woman, a loving mother and a fun grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She delighted in making her grandchildren laugh, and she always had great stories to tell of her childhood spent in the Old Friendship community of Chester County. She was a fabulous cook and was especially gifted at making cornbread dressing and fried peach pies.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Christine was preceded in death by her daughter, Pat (Davidson) Hames of Henderson; her son, Jimmy Harrison of Nashville; brothers Edd Scott, Thomas Scott and Bennie Scott of Henderson and Lon Scott of Jackson; and sisters Lula McCaskill of Henderson, Maggie Randolph of Jacks Creek, and Ludie Thornhill and Johnnie Jones of Jackson. She is survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Jacquita and Richy Butler of Henderson; John and Teresa Hames and Landon and Carol Hames of Henderson; and Stuart and Wendy Hames of Knoxville. She also leaves her great-grandchildren and their spouses: Adam and Stephanie Butler, Justin Hames, Janson Hames and Jordan Hames, all of Henderson; Jessica and Anthony Reddin of Biloxi, Miss.; and Alex Hames and Steever Hames of Knoxville, Kaisey Taylor, Haylee Taylor, Madison Taylor all of Henderson. Also surviving are her great-great-grandchildren Tyler Butler and Olivia Butler of Henderson. The family looks forward to welcoming her third great great-grandchild, Cruze Reddin, in a few months. She also leaves her son-in-law and his wife, J.R. and Debbie Hames of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Casey Chapel, with J. Walker Whittle and Ben Flatt officiating and burial will follow in the Estes Church of Christ cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve are Adam Butler, Justin Hames, Jordan Hames, Janson Hames, John Hames, Tyler Butler and Steever Hames.
