Christine Pauline Jones Melvin

Christine Pauline Jones Melvin age 83 of Selmer, TN was born January 10, 1933 in Pocahontas, AR. She was united in marriage to Earl Eudy Melvin on January 27, 1952. Mr. Melvin preceded her in death on November 12, 2005. Mrs. Melvin was a member of the Bethel Springs Church of God of Prophecy in Bethel Springs, Tennessee and a member of the Leapwood FCE Club. Mrs. Melvin loved people and she treated everyone the same. She also enjoyed singing and loved God.

She departed this life on April 29, 2016 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 19 Days.

She is survived by her children: Earl Eugene Melvin of Morris Chapel, TN, Deborah Holland and husband Veron of Bethel Springs, TN, Mary Yeager and husband Gary of Higdon, AR; a sister, Barbara Jones of Pocahontas, AR; five brothers: Willard Jones and wife Rita of Maynard, AR, Calvin Jones and wife Violet of Pocahontas, AR, Harold Jones and wife Wanda of Reno, AR, Ralph Jones of Morrelton, AR, Henry Jones of Ridgely, TN; eight grandchildren: Steven Leonard and wife Jessica of Bethel Springs, TN, Anna Leonard and fiance Nelson Aguares of DeSoto, MO, Tonia Pettie and companion Mike Pipkins of Higdon, AR, Wendy Pettie and companion Tony Talbut of Memphis, TN, Angelia Cook and husband Terry of Dyersburg, TN, Brittany Pipkins, Michael Pipkins and Eric Pipkins all of Caruthersville, MO; ten great grandchildren: Joshua Leonard, Emma Leonard, Wheeler Aguares, Mayah Aguares, Clara Pipkins, Destiny McCall, Niki Tabat, Hayden Pettie, Carolyn Huggins, Eli Cook; three great great grandchildren: Karson Pendergrass, Avery Pipkins, Greyson Rogers.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Melvin was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Gladys Jones, her mother, Molly Walker Jones; her children: Mary Ellen Melvin, James Edgar Melvin, George Edgar Melvin, Ethel Mae Melvin; three sisters: Ellen Jones, Sue Jones, Genevla Jones; five brothers: George Jones, Frank Curley, Bill Jones, James Jones, Junior Jones.
