Clara Nell Linville Rich of Iron City, TN was born August 23, 1938 in Iron City, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Clarence and Sarah Lucille McCain Linville. She was united in marriage to James Everett Rich on December 18, 1954.
Mrs. Rich was retired from Lincoln Brass and was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rich departed this life on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 72 Years, 1 Month, 2 Days after an extended illness.
She is survived by her husband, James Everett Rich; daughter, Sue Shelton; sons, W. C. Rich and wife, Trina, Daniel Rich and wife, Rita, Tim Rich and fiance', Gina all of Iron City, TN, and Paul Rich and wife, Jana of Killen, AL; six grandchildren, Johnny Rich, Scotty Rich, Marvin Cox, Trista Rich, Madison Rich, Chance Deaton; four great-grandchildren, Marlee Cox, Sebastion Burks, Ayden Cox, Landan Rich; brother, Bobby C. Linville and wife, Sherry of Clifton, TN; sister, Gail Fraley of Iron City, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Rich; a granddaughter, Morgan Brook Rich; a brother, Billy Linville.
Services will be Monday, September 27, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Bobby Rich and Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitten's Crossroads Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Johnny Rich, Marvin Cox, Scotty Rich, Larry Linville, Chance Deaton, Will Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Staggs and Tom Cooper.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Monday, September 27, 2010 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
