Clara Arlene Smeltser

Mrs. Clara Arlene Smeltser, age 92 of Bolivar, Tennessee, passed away Saturday morning, January 31, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
Mrs. Smeltser was born in Keokuk, Iowa on October 8, 1922. On December 19, 1942, she was united in marriage to Mr. Richard Elden Smeltser, who preceded her in death December 18, 2009. The two were married for 67 years.
She was a communicant at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bolivar, and spent countless hours lovingly sewing many items for the church and community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Sam Smeltser and wife Sigga of Memphis, David Smeltser and wife Jennifer of Bolivar, Tim Smeltser and wife Cindy of Memphis, and Mary Kay Greiner and husband Michael of Knoxville; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Jo Ann Ervin, and Kathryn Smeltser; and a granddaughter, Christy Ervin.
