Claude William Boston

Claude William Boston age 65 of Florence, AL went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2016 at ECM Hospital. His wife and loving caregiver, Carolyn was tirelessly by his side throughout their 27 years together. Mr. Boston died from complications from diabetes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Hugh and Althea Mann Boston and an infant brother and sister.

Survivors, his wife, Carolyn Sherrill Balentine Boston of Florence, AL; stepchildren, Sherry Hanvey and husband, Dennis, Jerry Balentine and wife, Donna, George Balentine and wife, Diane, Carrie Wilkerson and husband, Jeff all of Florence, AL and Nancy Berry and husband, James of Iron City, TN; sisters, Betty Hughes of Florence, AL and Jean Copeland and husband, Jim of Arizona; two nieces, two nephews, 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Christian Faith Church, Florence, AL with Jerry Balentine, Dennis Hanvey and Brogan Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assiting. Grandsons will be pallbearers and great-grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 5-9 pm and Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 11 am until services at the church.

Thanks to the doctors and nurses from the 5th floor at ECM Hospital, also Dr. Timothy Ashley and his staff for the care throughout the years and the Davita Dialysis Center staff for their love and care of Boston.
