Mr. Claude Ray Earnest, age 62 of Middleton, departed this life Thursday evening, September 5, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
A lifelong resident of Hardeman County, he was born in Middleton December 5, 1950 to the late Claude and Pearl Mynatt Morris. He graduated with the Class of 1968 from Middleton High School and served in the United States Army from 1969-1971 in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to his wife Linda, who survives, on December 23, 1983. He had retired from Thyssen-Krupp Elevators and worked as a farmer. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed time with his family, riding horses and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his wife of 29 years, he is survived by a sister, Sue Stephens and husband Jerry of Middleton; a brother, James Earnest and wife Bettie of Middleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
