Claude L. Eaton

Claude L. Eaton of Lutts, TN was born February 4, 1926 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late George and Martha Stribling Eaton. He was united in marriage to Violet Holt on July 2, 1949.

Mr. Eaton was a retired material cutter and departed this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehab in Florence, Alabama at the age of 90 Years, 9 Months, 4 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Holt Eaton of Lutts, TN; daughters, Claudetta Henderson of Florence, AL, Connie Horton of Lutts, TN, Cathy Newton of Florence, AL; a special friend, Johnny Horton of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer and companion Randy Dodd, Rich Henderson and companion, Kim Russell, Brent Horton and wife, Tracy, Mandy Weigart and husband, Rusty, Lindsey Lawson and husband, Terry, Nicole Conley and companion, Rob Aldridge; great-grandchildren, Ella and Olivia Lawson, Catherine Conely, Frankie Lou Aldridge, Ashleigh and Anna Lemons, Dillion Horton, Emily Brewer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Eaton was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Henderson; a brother, Loyd Eaton Jr.; sisters, Bassell Webb, Nona Melson; a grandson-in-law, Corporal Matthew Conley.

Services will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Brent Horton, Dillion Horton, Rusty Weigart, Terry Lawson, Rob Aldridge and Andy Webb.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
