Claudia "Candy" Pulliam, age 59, of Saulsbury, departed this life Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was born on Wednesday, October 2, 1957, to the late Claude Pulliam, Jr., and Alma Jean Turner Pulliam in Memphis, TN. Claudia was a Certified Nursing Assistant for twenty years, serving at Chester County Nursing Home, Pine Meadows Healthcare Center, and also in Galloway and Oakland, TN. She worked in central supply at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center at the time of her death. Claudia attended the West Memorial Baptist Church, and enjoyed crafts and painting. She lived the biggest portion of her life here in Hardeman County, but also lived in Brownsville, and Oakland.
She is survived by two sons, James Byrum (April) of Lexington, TN, and Jonathan Byrum (Tosha) of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Penelope Jean "Penny" Chandler of Weatherford, TX, and Tanyan Jo Bobo of Ripley, TN; and eight grandchildren, Jonah Burns, Noah Burns, Brooklyn Byrum, Savannah Byrum, Dylan Lovejoy, Leah Lovejoy, Nicholas Byrum, and Knoxlee Byrum.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother James Louie "Bubba" Phillips.
