Claudine Hughes Cossey was born on August 11, 1939 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Goodlow and Myrtle Bell Fox Hughes.

On May 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ottie Ray Cossey, who preceded his wife in death on March 14, 2001.

Mrs. Cossey retired from Malone & Hyde where she worked as a supervisor. She was baptized at Southaven First Baptist Church. Claudine loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Claudine Hughes Cossey departed this life on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Southaven, Mississippi, at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife Pam; sisters, Sandra and Theresa; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Claudine was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda and Sheila and her grandson, Dallas.
