Clifton Ray Hill

Clifton Ray Hill Sr. of Waynesboro, TN was born November 17, 1943 in Jackson, TN, the son of the late Elmer and Ester Mansfield Hill. Mr. Hill was an electrician and plumber and had worked with Savannah Electric, Volunteer Electric, Inc., and was a State of Tennessee electrical inspector for Wayne County. He served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Hill departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 2 Months, 5 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gale Ray Hill of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Clifton Ray Hill, Jr. and wife, Lori of Waynesboro, TN, Willie Holder and wife, Sheila of Waynesboro, TN, and Jonathan Hill and wife, Crystal of Clifton, TN; daughters, Pam Stumpe and husband, Phillip of Florence, AL, Teresa Goodman and husband, Chris of Clifton, TN, and Angela Wilson and husband, David of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Amber Hill, Thomas Hill, Jonathan Hill, Evan Hill, Mickey Goodman, Danny Goodman, Codi Stumpe, Colton Holder, Camryn Holder and Pamela Saba; and a great-grandchild, Britlee; and a brother, Ralph Hill of Jackson, TN.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Hill; and grandchildren, Sherri Goodman and William Hill.

Services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Joseph Wallace and Marshall Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
