Clyde Brown "The Boss"

Was born on August 5, 1938, the son of the late Floyd and Elizabeth Grimes Brown.

On May 15, 1956, he was united in marriage to Nona Gay Blanton, who survives.

Clyde was a butcher by trade, a job that he loved, and had worked for Grady George Butcher Shop. He also worked for Savannah Electric for 20 plus years. In his spare time he loved deer hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and going to the creek. Clyde also loved going to the sale barn and raising cattle.

He departed this life on Friday, October 2, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, one month, and 27 days.

In addition to his wife of 70 years, Nona Gay Brown, Clyde is survived by his children, Ganetta (Bobby) Bishop, Teresa (Rick) Hollin, Shirley (Bobby) Pilkinton, Denise (Tim) Daniel, Rachel (Jerry) Murphy, and Kevin ( Andrea) Brown; grandchildren, Mandy Russell, Nicole Sisk, April Stults, Autumn Smith, Tonya Sweat, Shawn Sweat, Pamela Brown, Patrick Brown, Rusty Brown, Cagle Murphy, Cason Murphy, Abbi Wren Miller, Bailey Brown, Hailey Morgan, Matthew Brown, Triton Daniel, and Jayde Brown; 31 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Brown, and two sisters, Lorene Murphy and Wanda Brewer.

Pallbearers will be: Cagle Murphy, Cason Murphy, Bailey Brown, Matthew Brown, Matthew Morgan, Wesley Rose, Patrick Brown and Triton Daniel.
