Clyde Franks
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on October 14, 1937 the son of the late Lydia Pearl Brown Beckham and Jack Beckham.
On December 23, 1956 he was united in marriage to Virginia Sue Dicus, who survives.
In addition to Wayne County, Mr. Franks had also lived in Elmhurst, Illinois, Nashville, Tennessee, Hardin County, Tennessee, and Huron ,Tennessee. He had worked for Reflector Hardware Company in Melrose Park, Illinois, Western Electric Company in Cicero, Illinois, and Globe Business in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was a member of the Scotts Hill Methodist Church.
Mr. Franks departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the age of 72 years, 3 months, 13 days.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey C. Franks of Huron, Tennessee; 3 brothers, Tommy, Larry, and Joe Beckham all of Collinwood, Tennessee; 4 sisters, Mary Louis Bowling, Peggy Beckham, Vickie Petty all of Collinwood, Tennessee, and Clara Snodgrass of Florence, Alabama; 3 granddaughters, Andrea C. Davis and husband Shane, Amber D. Maness and husband Lee, and Alyssa Courtney Franks; 2 great-grandchildren, Casen Lee Maness and Brooklin Kennedy Maness.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jack Beckham, Jr. and Jackie Beckham.
