CLYDE SOWELL
was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on December 25, 1943 the son of the late Elmer and Jewel Thacker Sowell.
On July 4, 1972 he was united in marriage to Ada Belle Dickey, who survives.
Mr. Sowell served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Wayler Towing as a tankerman and engineer. Mr. Sowell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a hard worker, he liked to joke and have fun. Mr. Sowell most of all loved his family.
He departed this life on January 9, 2016 at his residence in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years and 15 days.
In addition to his wife, Ada of 43 years, he is survived by his children, Clyde Delane Sowell, Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, Lena Jean Sowell of San Antonio, Texas, Judy Clydean Franks, Mitchalene Renee O'Neal, Monica Rae O'Neal and Mona Roxanne Kinkennon, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
three brothers, Therman Sowell of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Fred Sowell of Corinth, Mississippi and Richard Sowell of Stantonville, Tennessee
two sisters, Freda Holly of Selmer, Tennessee and Nellie Williams of Corinth, Mississippi
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Eddie Dewayne Sowell, four brothers, E. G., Elmer Olis, Donald and Edward Sowell and three sisters, Louvonda Stewart, Fleetie Scott and Aval Roy.
