Clyde (Hideman) Wilkerson

CLYDE (HIDEMAN) WILKERSON

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 21, 1946, the son of the late Ester Lee Wilkerson.

For 15 plus years Clyde worked as a carpenter with several members of the Wilkerson family before beginning work with B & R Lumber Company, making deliveries for them for another 15 plus years. He truly enjoyed working on his cars and trucks and declared that he was a pencil and eraser man, one who didn't care for technology and was stuck in the 60s. His calendar collection would rival anyone's; those calendars were where he recorded family events, the weather for the day, and other things that he found interesting. Clyde kept records of everything, making sure every item in his possession was appropriately labeled and stored. His devotion to his family was evident in the care he gave to his mother and one of his aunts, making sure their flowers were tended, their medications correctly given and their transportation needs met as well as many other tasks he was called upon to perform.

Clyde Wilkerson departed this life on March 28, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 7 days.

He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Jinney Marie and J. C. Thrasher and 12 cousins.
