CODY ‘CO CO’ DUNCAN
Henderson, TN: Cody Adam Duncan, age 21 passed away Monday morning, March 5, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident on Hwy 100 West at Chickasaw.
He was born December 1, 1996 in McMinnville, TN (Warren County) and reared in Bolivar and Chester County and graduated from Hardeman County High School in 2016. He enlisted in the U.S. Army 2014 until present as a rank of Sgt. He worked at Henderson Stamping and Pizza Hut in Bolivar and was working at the Hardeman County Correctional Facility in Whiteville. He loved playing video games, swimming and the military. He was a member of the Silerton Baptist Church.
Cody is survived by his father, Billy Joe Duncan (Emily) and his mother, Amina Darlene McClure Smith; his fiancée, Kimberlee Byrd; a son, Hunter Adam Duncan (3 months); two stepsons, Matthew Byrd and Mason Hansen; brothers, Cory Smith and Kevin Sturgill and stepbrother, Russell Anderson; sisters, Keri Johnson, Kati Johnson and Kelly Rena Smith and stepsisters, Kristina Sterling, Katherine Comer and Kaitlyn Salyers.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Chaplain Terry Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Silerton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday.
