Cody Shaw Matthews

Cody Shaw Matthews was born in Horn Lake, Mississippi on December 14, 1991 to Ethel \"Puddy\" Matthews and the late Jerry Orr Matthews. Mr. Matthew was a graduate of Hardin County High School and had attended Nashville Automotive Diesel College. He was a member of the Oak Hill Christian Church in Corinth, Mississippi. He had worked as a summer employee for the Pickwick Landing State Park.In addition to Counce, TN, he had also lived in Tipton Co., TN.Mr. Matthews enjoyed swimming, fishing, and playing his Xbox. He was a very loving person and had wished to be an organ and tissue donor so that his life might save someone else\'s.He departed this life on March 2, 2012 at the age of 20 years, 2 months, and 17 days.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his biological mother April Shaw Newman of Counce, TN; his grandparents Bud and Debbie Shaw of Olive Branch, MS; 2 sisters: Sherry Matthews of Stillwater, OK and Shelia Medlin of Wellston, OK; 2 brothers: Ryan Jacob Sides of Counce, TN and Michael James Matthews and his wife Becca of Burlison, TN: a very special aunt Marie Burris of Counce, TN, and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
