Coleta J. Broadwell

Coleta J. Broadwellwas born in McNairy County, Tennessee on August 24, 1915 the daughter of the late Hershel and Mirtie Carroll Wilkins.In 1950 she was united in marriage to Johnnie Lee Broadwell, who preceded her in death on October 10, 1976.Mrs. Broadwell was the Senior Instructor of Cosmetology at the Savannah School of Cosmetology. She was the oldest licensed cosmetologist in Tennessee. She was a member of the Gilchrist Presbyterian Church and knew Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.Mrs. Broadwell departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the age of 95 years, 7 months, 2 days.Mrs. Broadwell is survived by a son, Glen H. Gray of Savannah, Tennessee; a daughter, Patty Lowrey of Corpus Christi, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Sherry Williams, Jerry Tucker, Jr., Greg Gray, Brandon Gray, Chastity Timberman, and Brittni Carroll; 7 great grandchildren, John Canton Gray, Layla Tess Carroll, Chancy and Skylar Gray, Stefanie Williams, Brandy Campbell, DeLaney Timberman; 3 great great grandchildren, Austin, Emma and Tucker Campbell.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death 3 sons, Jerry Tucker, Dwight Eugene Tucker, and Steve Broadwell; a grandchild, Chad Gray.
