Constance Jane Cook, age 87, died peacefully at her home on September 27,2025 in Waynesboro, Tennessee.  

She is survived by her husband, Early Fredrick Jordan, and brother Donald Cook; her children, Craig Anderson Hunter, Cristina Carolene Hunter, Cary William Hunter, and Calena Elizabeth Bush; stepchildren, Cheryl, Melanie, and Aaron Dempsey, Denise Jordan; 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild; 9 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald William Cook and Doris Eleanor Boomhower; her husband, John William (Bill) Hunter and Edwin Alan Dempsey; her brothers, Douglas William and Duane Bryan Cook; her daughter, Kim Carolene; her grandson, Daniel Anthony Hunter; and her grandson. Vincent Michael Bush.  Also, her stepsons, Ronald and Jason Jordan. 

Constance Jane Cook was born on March 3, 1938, in Ashtabula, Ohio. She had 3 younger brothers whom she adored. She graduated from DeLand High School in 1956 and married Bill Hunter on June 22 of that year.  Connie and Bill moved back and forth between Florida and Colorado, eventually settling back in Florida in 1975, where she lived until her divorce in 1985.  Connie then moved to Irving, Texas, where she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Edwin Dempsey.  They were married on January 1, 1998. Edwin passed away in 2001. 

Connie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and found peace in the house the Lord.  She started volunteering at the Dallas Temple, where she met Earl Jordan.  they were married on July 2, 2005.  She retired from the United Postal Service and moved to Louisiana with Earl, then on the Waynesboro, Tn, where she lived out her remaining years. 

Connie gave selfless service throughout her life, blessing the lives of all who were privileged enough to know her. 

Music was a huge part of her life. She was always singing, playing the piano and organ, conducting choirs, and teaching others to do the same. 

She also loved being in nature and enjoyed all of God's creatures.  She especially like butterflies, puppies and baby goats! Connie loved sunrises and sunsets, stargazing, finding shapes in the clouds, and sharing her love of plants and flowers with others. Daffodils and Peace Roses were her favorites.  

Family and Friends will gather Thursday, October 8, 2025, at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lawrenceburg, Tn for her homegoing service.  Burial will follow in the Cole Cemetery.
