Cordie Ellen Brown Pulley of Waynesboro, TN was born November 14, 1936 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Robert Webb and Vera W. Beckham Brown. She was united in marriage to Herbert W. Pulley on March 18, 1981.
Mrs. Pulley was a retired cook having worked at Wayne County Nursing Home and served as the Wayne County High School Cafeteria manager over 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN and departed this life on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert W. Pulley of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Steve Jones, wife, Judy of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Linda Vaughn, husband, Robert of Iva, SC, Teresa Pope, husband, Craig of Killen, AL, Rita Anderson of Waynesboro, TN and Janet Brown of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Blake West, John Jones (Jessica), Amanda Patterson, Jason West (Tyannia), Jyl Mattox (Ryan), Josh Patterson (Lesley), Jacob Patterson, Dr. Tiffany Baugh (Wes), Eric Anderson (Ashley), Jessica Beersdorf (Josh) and Coleman Thompson (Katelyn); great-grandchildren, Jordan, C'anna, Justin, Brooklyn, Ethan, Madison W., Luke, Hudson, Kate, Jada, Will J., Will P., Wheeler, Aubree, Colton, Karlee, Ace, Bryer, Harlan, Grant, Will, Cody, Madison H., Madi, Brock, Raymond and Austin and great-great-grandchildren, Reaghan, Piper and BlakeLynn.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pulley was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Shawn West; brothers, Robert Webb Brown, Jr., Cecil Brown and Elvis L. Brown and a nephew, Bobby Brown.
Services will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, TN with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the Warren Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 11 am to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason West, John Jones, Ryan Mattox, Josh Patterson, Jacob Patterson, Luke Mattox, Blake West and Will Patterson.
The family requests that those attending the visitation or the funeral service should wear a face covering.
