Corky Jacobs was born March 14, 1947 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Adron Douglas and Lois Lawson Jacobs.
He was united in marriage to Glenda Kirk on August 16, 1968.
Corky was a self-employed mechanic, restorer of old cars and tractors. He has worked for the Department of Army Corps Engineers-Memphis since 1978 reading the river meters. He was a member of the Antioch Church Of Christ in Ramer, Tennessee. He enjoyed the Coffee Shop Round Table in Pocahontas, traveling to antique car and tractor shows and loved spending time with his four grandchildren.
He proudly served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was stationed out of Norfolk, VA and assigned to the USS Enterprise. He served three tours during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Jacobs departed this life on October 30, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 7 Months, 16 Days. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Jacobs of Pocahontas, TN; three daughters, Brenda Glidewell and husband Scotty of Kossuth, MS, Tina Carter and husband Van of Pocahontas, TN, Tiffany Jacobs of Pocahontas, TN; four grandchildren, Megan, Gage, Jerad, and Briley; and a host of extended family and friends.
