Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 14, 1926 the son of the late George and Henrietta Franks.
On August 3, 1944 he was united in marriage to the former Jewel Wilkerson, who survives.
Mr. Franks was a retired machine operator for Parris Manufacturing. He was a member of Turkey Creek Union Church.
He departed this life on February 9, 2007 at Savannah Healthcare at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 26 days.
Other than his wife, Jewel of Savannah, Tennessee he is survived by one daughter, Linda Jerrolds of Savannah, Tennessee.
One son, Donnie Franks of Savannah, Tennessee.

3 great-grandchildren, Jimmilynn Davis, Jordan Davis and Lainey Franks
One sister, Lois Carrico of Sanford, Florida
2 half-sisters, Doris Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee and Brenda Via of Charlottesville, Virginia
2 half-brothers, Freeman Franks and Jesse Franks, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
Mr. Franks was also preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Franks and one brother.
