Coy Lindon Green was born on December 25, 1929, the son of the late Carzie Lindon and Louise Anna Hall Green. On January 21, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Hutchens, who survives. Coy departed this life on October 8, 2017, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 13 days.
Coy attended Faithpointe in Adamsville, Tennessee and was an original founder of Christian Life Center in Savannah, Tennessee. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Mason. Before Coy was self-employed as a water slide manufacturer, he worked at General Motors and owned an excavation company in Michigan and a Ready Mix company in Henderson, Tennessee. Coy also co-founded and owned Morning Star Manufacturing in Crump, Tennessee. He enjoyed traveling, loved his family, and collected a rock from almost every state.
In addition to his wife Dorothy of 57 years, Coy is survived by his sons, Chris Green and wife Shari and David Plunk, both of Crump, Tennessee; brothers, John Henry Green of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Charles Green of Sardis, Tennessee; sisters, Ann Ross of Saltillo, Tennessee, Jewel Williams of Flint, Michigan, and Margaret Pinkley of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sheena Green Cregan, Adam Green, Jared Coy Green; great grandchildren, Christian Cregan and Sophia Cregan; and nieces and nephews, Danny Brashier, Bonnie Brashier Dunbar, Don Brashier, Jean Brashier Hancock, David Brashier, and Lisa Brashier Vandiver.
Along with his parents, Coy was preceded in death by his son, Richard Keith Green and his sisters, Ruth Massengill, Mary Smith, and Susan Green.
