Mr. Crawford Cossar, age 66, of Hornsby, departed this life Sunday evening, April 2, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.
The husband of Dell Ann Sipes Cossar, who survives, he worked as a long haul trucker for Power & Telephone Supply, Aquaglass, Jimmy Dean, Werner and for the last several years as an independent trucker.
He was born October 13, 1950, in Memphis, son of the late W. C. and Edith Donahoe Cossar, living in McNairy County during his childhood where he went to Rose Creek School, and attended McNairy County High School. He lived in the Hornsby area for the past 43 years.
Mr. Cossar was a avid NASCAR/Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed driving his big truck, camping, duck and deer hunting and had obtained the complete collection of 'Denim Days' Home Interior figurines. His greatest pleasure came from being around his grandchildren. Mr. Cossar attended Hornsby Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on December 3, 1973, survivors include 2 sons, William Crawford Cossar, Jr. (Beth) of Hornsby and Brian Cossar of Ashland City, TN; two daughters, Angela Boyd of Lanesville, IN and Melissa Wilson of Hornsby; a sister, Brenda Reed (Terry) of Selmer; five grandchildren, Shane White, Alex Boyd and George Boyd, all of Louisville, KY Allyson & Kinsley Wilson of Hornsby; and numerous friends. He is also survived by his faithful four-legged companions, Callie and JJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kay Doles.
