Curnel Edward King

Mr. Curnel Edward King of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Wayne County, TN departed this life on Monday, March 12, 2012 in Huntsville, AL at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 27 Days. He was born December 14, 1930 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Charlie and Leona Brewer King. In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by son, Markel King; brothers, John M. King, James W. King, Robert D. King, Billie Ray King, Charlie J. King and Alvin W. King; sisters, Helen King and Mildred Rutherford.



Mr. King was self employed and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.



He is survived by sons, Benjamin King of Harvest, AL, Anthony King of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughters, Jean Yount of Sedgewickville, MO, and Dixie King of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren, Victoria Joggerst, Micah Yount, Jacob Yount, Miranda Wilcut, Damon Botten, Keaton King, and Grace King;

great-grandchildren, Maverick and Matland Wilcut; brothers, Charles Guy King and Joe Riley King; sister, Betty Jane Dress.



Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Wayne Kizzire officiating. Burial will follow in the King Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Bennie King, Anthony King, Jacob Yount, Keaton King, Kyle Joggerst, and Royce Yount.
