Curtis W. Gant was born February 10, 1921 in Saltillo, Tennessee the son of the late William McKinley and Lillian Scroggins Gant.He was united in marriage to Lois Kennedy on August 1, 1945. Mrs. Gant preceded him in death on February 11, 2004.Mr. Gant retired from DuPont where he was a Power Plant Supervisor and later worked as a janitor for the Adamsville Post Office. He was a member of the Saltillo Church Of Christ in Saltillo, Tennessee as well as the Adamsville Church of Christ for over twenty-five years. He was extremely passionate about the care and upkeep of Shady Grove Cemetery loved gardening, working in his yard, and his dog Little Dolly.Mr. Gant departed this life on June 25, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 4 Months, 15 Days.He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Gant of Crump, TN; a son, Roger Gant of Saltillo, TN; three sisters, Ruby Ridley of Gallatin, TN, Vera Faye Bridges of Sardis, TN, and Louise Farmer of Knoxville, TN.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gant was preceded in death by five brothers, Eddie Gant, Thomas Gant, Raymond Gant, Ernest Gant, Harold Gant and a sister, Velma Davis. The Gant family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Montgomery Monument Project for Shady Grove Cemetery care of the Peoples' Bank of Sardis.
