Cynthia (Cindy) Holloway, a cherished soul, was born on January 10, 1966, in Moulton, Alabama, to the late James Troy Thomas and Sells Stutts. Her journey through life was filled with love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for family and friends.
On February 14, 1993, Cindy found love with Alford L. Holloway, sharing a beautiful marriage until his passing on March 10, 2013. Their bond was enduring, reflecting the warmth and dedication that Cindy carried in every aspect of her life.
Cindy worked as a supervisor at Reitter & Schefenacker in Selmer, Tennessee, and also contributed her talents at the Brown Shoe Factory. Her favorite job was her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she touched lives and cared for others with compassion.
Cindy was passionate about the world around her. She found joy in feeding wildlife and had a vibrant connection to nature through her love for fishing at Pickwick. She was gifted in the art of sewing and gardening. A wonderful cook, she delighted in creating meals that brought family and friends together, making every gathering a celebration of love.
Always poised and put together, Cindy took pride in her appearance, enjoying time spent on her hair, makeup, and nails.
Cindy departed this life on September 15, 2025, in Henderson, Tennessee, at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 5 days. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Jones of Henderson, TN; stepdaughter, Andrea Tidwell of Toone, TN; her cherished granddaughter, Lily Slone; and step-granddaughter, Zoe Richardson. Also mourning her loss are her brother, Kenny Thomas and wife Tina of Corinth, MS; her sister, Candice Rich and husband Billy of Milledgeville, TN; her stepmom, Joyce Thomas of Selmer, TN; aunt, Kay Mullins of Ramer, TN; her dear friends, Stacy Bishop and Tim Davis; along with a host of nephews, extended family, and friends who held her dear.
In addition to her husband and parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her stepson, Darrell Holloway, and her brother, Timothy Neil Thomas.
Cindy Holloway's spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her, a gentle reminder of her nurturing soul and the countless ways she brightened the lives of everyone around her.
