Cynthia Sue Downen

Mrs. Downen, age 68, passed from this life in Clarksville, TN, on

October 14, 2012.



She was born October 25, 1943 to Richard Elias and Betty Jane

Vervosky Whitten in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Lake Station,

Indiana and graduated in 1962 at Portage High School in Portage,

Indiana. Past residences include Hardeman County, Tennessee,

Texas City, Texas and then most recently Big Springs and

Clarksville, Tennessee. She married Wallace Wayne (W. W.)

Downen on October 10, 1973 who passed from this life on August 7,

2011.



A homemaker, Mrs. Downen collected dolls, enjoyed John Wayne

movies and loved to bake. She worked with 'Sobriety Rocks' while

living in Hardeman County and was a member of the American

Legion. She was Pentecostal in belief.



Survivors include two sons, Glen Fisher of Danbury, Texas and

Lawrence Fisher of Rensselaer, Indiana; a sister Candra Mason and

a brother Terry Whitten both of Indiana; four grandchildren,

Matthew, Chase, Brandon, and Joshua Fisher; two nieces Lisa

Leonard and Maria Perry; a nephew Walter Davis and a

stepgrandson Bryan Downen. In addition to her parents and her

husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Chavis and

Sandra Reynolds.
