Cynthia Cheshier Lott

Cynthia Cheshier Lott was born March 8, 1920 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late John William and Maggie Wilson Cheshier. She was a 1937 graduate of Bethel Springs and earned her teaching certificate from Union University.

She was united in marriage to Ward Frank Lott on January 11, 1942. Mr. Lott preceded her in death on April 6, 2000.

Mrs. Lott was a former third grade teacher at Bethel Springs and Treadwell in Memphis. She was a member of the Bethel Springs Presbyterian Church and former member of Highland Heights Presbyterian in Memphis. She played the piano at New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian and Bethel Springs Presbyterian Church until she was 95. She enjoyed volunteering and being a member of McNairy County Historical Society. She cared for her family, home, and flower garden.

Mrs. Lott departed this life on April 22, 2017 at her home in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 97 Years, 1 Month, 14 Days. She is survived by her Horner Drive family and friends; her church families; and a host of cousins and dear friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by
a son, Dr. John Ward Lott on May 20, 1969; a sister, Lizzie Bell Cheshier.
