Dale King was born July 25, 1935 in Ramer, TN the son of the late Rupert Benton (R. B.) and Ruby Lee Wooten King.
Mr. King worked as a plumber for Burnes Plumbing Company in Memphis for 30 plus years. He later worked for Jimmy Hise Plumbing for an additional 10 plus years before retiring. He was a man of his word and expected the same from others. Vegetable gardening and fixing things were among his favorite pastimes, but his greatest joy was found in spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. He and his son Phillip were not only father and son, they were best friends.
Mr. King departed this life on October 13, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 18 Days. He is survived by a son, Phillip E. King of Corinth, MS; two grandchildren, Phillip L. King and wife Jami of Guys, TN and Amanda Duncan and husband Brian of Corinth, MS; ten great-grandchildren: Madeleine Gardner and husband Chris, Bryce King, Emma King, Luke King, Hayley King, and Ava King, all of Guys, TN, Josh McIntosh and wife Angele of Burnsville, MS, Allen McIntosh of Memphis, TN, Cole Buncik of Corinth, MS, and Jacob Duncan of Corinth, MS; three great-great-grandchildren: Hadleigh Gardner, Hughes Gardner, and Kylen McIntosh; two sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Williams and husband Murray of Jackson, TN and Ester Riley and husband Tommy of Ramer, TN; a brother, Prentice (Hopper) King of Eastview, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by his former wife, Treva J. Baldwin; a son, David N. King; and a brother, Kenneth King.
