Dallas Risner

Dallas Risner of Waynesboro, TN was born April 8, 1920 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Arthur Walter and Wilmoth Casteel Risner. He was united in marriage to Katherine Aldridge on January 11, 1944. Mr. Risner was a retired mechanic, a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, a member of the American Legion, Teamster's Union, and Green River Country Club. He was a WW II veteran of the United States Army.



Mr. Risner departed this life on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month.



He is survived by his wife, Katherine Risner of Waynesboro, TN; a son, James Dallas Risner of Lawrenceburg, TN; a daughter, Martha Nell Lowe of Waynesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Jayden Risner, Jeremy Risner; a brother, Robert Risner of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Risner was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Risner; five sisters, Lucille Morris, Blanche Davis, Jessie Hunt, Iva Dell Thompson, Rachel Ballant.



Services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Brent Brewer, Matt Gray, Jeremy Risner, Wayland Lowe, Kirk Thurman, Jeff Hunt. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Thurman.



Visitation will be Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, May 10, 2010 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
