Daniel Cameron Hoffman Jr. passed away on Friday May 22nd, 2026. He was surrounded by his family at his son’s home in Moscow, TN. He was 69 years old. Dan was born in Memphis, TN on December 17th, 1956 to Daniel C. Hoffman Sr. and Edna H. Hoffman.
He attended Sherwood Elementary, Colonial Middle School, and attended CBHS where he graduated in 1975. Dan also earned the rank of Eagle Scout through Troop 13 at Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was also a member. Dan attended Memphis State College, was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and graduated with his degree in marketing in 1982.
After graduation, Dan opened the real estate firm Whitman, Hoffman and Burke with the Whitman and Burke Brothers. He was an excellent real estate agent, always going the extra mile for his clients. He was instrumental in getting the I-40 Overton corridor reopened to be built upon, after the original extension project through Overton Park was abandoned. Mr. Hoffman was a lifetime member of the MAAR Multi-Million Dollar Club. He continued in real estate for the entirety of his life.
Dan was much more than his accomplishments! He was a man of extraordinary love, kindness, generosity, and friendship. In true Dan fashion, with him being the life of the party and all, his family will be hosting two celebrations of life in his honor. One Celebration of Life will to be held on Thursday, June 11th from 5 to 8PM at Pike & West in Germantown, TN for his Memphis friends. The 2nd Celebration of Life will be held at Viv’s in Pickwick from 3 to 6pm on June 20th, 2026. All friends and family are welcome to attend!
