Daniel Wesley Jackson Jr., 73, of Bolivar, passed away Thursday morning, March 3, 2011 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widower of Phyllis Marie Jackson, who died September 17, 2010 after 30 years of marriage, he worked for Jackson and Keller Lumberyard for 50 years as a buyer, seller and manager of timber. He was born June 9, 1937 in Hardeman County to the late Daniel Wesley Jackson, Sr. and Patty Goff Jackson and lived all of his life here. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Jackson was a member of New Bethany Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Nell Ehrett and Annie Mae Jackson, both of Bolivar; a brother, Dorsey Jackson of Bolivar; three nephews, Robin and Houston Ehrett and Mark Jackson; a brother-in-law, Frankie Pittman of Vildo; a stepdaughter, Connie Higgs, and her husband Gale of Burns; two grandchildren, Ashley Clifton and Allie Higgs; two nephews, Nick and Hunter Pittman; a great niece, Kynlie Reese Pittman; and a special friend, Sue Nell Pittman. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Jackson.
