Daniel Richard McWilliams

Daniel "Danny" Richard McWilliams, age 61, of Iron City, TN, departed from this world on December 15, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1964, in Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Willard Richard and Peggy Lucille Jackson McWilliams.

In a beautiful union, Danny married Jessica Leigh Littleton on August 11, 1984, sharing a life filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted member of the Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

For 22 years, Danny worked diligently as a dye tub operator for Tee Jays, and he also spent three years contributing his talents at Graves Plating. A hardworking man at heart, he was always striving to provide for his family, taking on side jobs like cutting and selling wood to ensure their well-being.

Danny found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was tinkering in his garage, spending quality time at the sale barn with his sons, or visiting the Amish community. However, nothing brought him more happiness than the moments he got to share with his beloved grandchildren.

Danny’s legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but warmly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Leigh Littleton McWilliams of Iron City, TN; sons, Chandler Daniel McWilliams (Mackenzie) of Iron City, TN, and Blake Alexander McWilliams (Maranda) of Waynesboro, TN; daughter, Megan Jessica McWilliams Risner (Ken) of Collinwood, TN; son-in-law, Shannon Daniel of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Makaleigh Risner, Levi Risner, Luke Risner, Milo Risner, Blakeleigh McWilliams, Glenna Daniel, and Olivia Daniel.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy McWilliams; and daughter, Hollie McWilliams Daniel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Edward Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, TN.

Pallbearers will be Don Hale, Danny Roberson, James Putman, Harold McWilliams, Harlon McWilliams, and Jeff McWilliams.
