Danny Brown, a devoted family man and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on November 17, 1939, in Benton County, Mississippi, Danny's life was marked by a steadfast commitment to both his career and his loved ones.

Professionally, Danny made notable contributions during his tenure at Campbell’s BluePrint in Memphis, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise. For a brief period, he ventured into entrepreneurship by owning and operating his own blueprint company, City BluePrint, reflecting his enterprising spirit and industry knowledge.

Danny’s personal life was rich and full. He was a man who truly cherished the time spent at home with his family, finding joy and comfort in their presence. His love for animals was evident in his compassionate nature, often caring for injured creatures he encountered, embodying kindness and empathy. Danny held a special affection for annual trips to Destin, Florida, and the Smokey Mountains, where he found a deep sense of peace and renewal. His faith as a member of the Church of Christ was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and relationships.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Brown of Saulsbury, who shared a lifetime of memories with him since their marriage on July 5, 1991. His children, son, Jason Brown of Cranberry, Pennsylvania, and daughters, Penne Wilson (Bill) of Nesbit, MS, Michele Shackelford (Keith) and Karen Kimberlin (Glen) of Mobile, AL; stepchildren, Kevin Keller of Corinth, Mississippi, Katherine Ware and Pamela Johnson of Middleton, Tennessee, carry forward his legacy. Cherished among his extended family are his sister, Pat Haney of Gallatin, Tennessee, and brother, Freddie Brown (Brenda) of New Albany, Mississippi. He also leaves behind a large and loving family with 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the vibrant family life he nurtured. Danny's longstanding and cherished companion, his cat, Roxie, also survives him, a gentle presence that brought him comfort.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Reaves Brown and Mildred Virginia Hopper Brown, as well as his brother Jimmy Brown, whose memories he held close throughout his life.

Visitation to honor Danny’s life and legacy will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Middleton, located at 201 S Main St, Middleton, Tennessee, on May 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be followed immediately by a funeral service at the same location, from 1:00 p.m. where family and friends can gather to reflect on his many contributions and the enduring light he brought into their lives. The day will conclude with an  interment at Tiplersville City Cemetery in Tiplersville, Mississippi.

Danny Brown’s life was one of dedication, love, and unwavering faith. His memory will remain deeply cherished by all who knew him, a lasting tribute to a man who cared deeply for his family, his faith, and his community.
